For the past nineteen years, I have been studying and making art through painting, first learning watercolor painting from a local artist and then graduating magna cum laude from Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan with B.S. degrees in Art History and Studio Art/Painting. I started to make art to recover from a severe traumatic brain injury. My paintings are drawn from life experiences as well as nature images and make energetic statements using strong color and line. I work both in oil and acrylic and primarily make paintings on canvas with some done as murals on walls and others painted on glass. My art means life and beauty to me.
